King County Information Technology (KCIT), the central information technology provider for King County, is currently seeking a Human Resources Project Manager.  This is a Term-Limited-Temporary position expected to continue 18 months or longer.
 
As a new addition to the KCIT HR team, this Human Resources Project Manager (HRPM) will bring project management skills and processes to play a critical role in the successful creation and implementation of a full classification and compensation system for all information technology positions.  This specific project involves complex collaboration with different although related internal teams. We are looking for a candidate with skills in leadership, organization, planning, and understanding of the essential aspects of project management. The HRPM will have the ability to successfully execute project plans and manage change initiatives, as well as build an understanding of potential risks and pitfalls of project implementation to key stakeholders.

King County Information Technology has a biennial budget of $160M and provides Information Technology (IT) services to over 13,000 employees.  We provide county-wide information technology solutions tailored to meet the business needs of a diverse list of county agencies, as well as regional services including GIS, 800 MHz emergency radio services, and a fiber network that serves over 280 external customers such as libraries and schools.  The consolidated, centralized approach to IT services allows for a consistently high quality customer experience, strategic IT resource planning, and a standardized approach to IT investments.
