Happy 4th of July! Celebrate American Independence Safely

Where to find fireworks, festivities, and fun near you on the fourth. 

Firework displays are an exciting tradition that help to celebrate America's Declaration of Independence and the birth of our great nation. I would encourage you and your loved ones to enjoy this wonderful holiday safely by planning ahead. 

If you are planning on setting off your own fireworks please be sure they are allowed in your area and that you are making safe choices for those around you. There are also a number of firework shows located around District 9 this year. Some of those shows are listed below.

Enumclaw: Enumclaw Stars and Stripes Parade - fun for the whole family. 

Newcastle: Fourth at the Lake Celebration- Live music, food, games, and fireworks!

Issaquah: Down Home 4th of July and Heritage Day- Parade, games, and live music.

Bellevue: The Bellevue Family 4th- A full day of music, activities, and fireworks!10 p.m., Downtown Bellevue Park.

Renton: Renton Fabulous 4th of July Celebration- Volleyball tournament, family activities, and fireworks at 10 p.m. in Gene Coulon Memorial Beach Park.

Maple Valley: Independence Day Celebration and Fireworks- picnic, pie baking contest, and fireworks!

Kent: Fourth of July Splash- music, games, fireworks, and water fun at Lake Meridian Park.
