Project Update - May 25, 2017
King County is happy to announce that the Fremont Siphon Replacement Project contractor finished major construction activities on May 19 – right on schedule. Completing the siphon is a major achievement for the community, King County, and its contractor. The new pipes will safely transport sewage and stormwater from north Seattle and beyond to the County treatment plant in Magnolia for decades. A big THANK YOU from King County to all of the project’s neighbors and trail users for their patience with the disruptions that come with living, passing by or working near a major construction project. Their willingness to help the County team and contractor problem solve constructively made the project safer and easier for everyone involved. King County also deeply appreciates all of the community members who offered their time and ideas to help make the new pipe and odor control facility a great addition to the neighborhood. Finishing touches Before the project is a wrap, the County contractor will complete the following activities:
