EEO/AA Diversity and Inclusion Manager - Transit

We have an exciting opportunity available for an EEO, Diversity and Inclusion Manager with a passion for advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion.  We are looking for someone who can work in collaboration with agency leadership and employees to develop and integrate EEO, equity, diversity and inclusion goals and strategies into business processes and practices. In partnership with the Assistant General Manager for Employee Services, this person will provide effective leadership to help advance the implementation of the Equity and Social Justice Strategic Plan in the Transit Division and the Partnership to Achieve Comprehensive Equity (PACE).  They will also serve as a technical expert in managing Transit's activities related to the creation and sustainability of diversity, inclusion, accessibility, and equal employment opportunity (EEO) programs.

This opportunity will be filled as a one year Term-Limited Temporary position or as a Special Duty Assignment for current career service employees.

Work Location
The primary work location for this position is at the King County Metro Transit Atlantic Operations Base but the position also requires work at King Street Center near Seattle's Pioneer Square area.
 
Work Schedule
This position is exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act, and is not eligible for overtime pay. The work week is normally 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Alternative work schedules may be considered.
