This year marks the 100th anniversary of America's entrance into World War I or the "War to End All Wars". My colleague Councilmember Rod Dembowski and I are marking the occasion by restoring and reinstalling two plaques, honoring King County and City of Seattle Employees who served in WWI.
The plaques will be installed by by April 6, 2017—the date of our nation’s entry into the war.
Please join us for the dedication ceremony on April 6. We would be especially honored to recognize descendants of the brave men and women whose names are inscribed on the plaques. For more information and a full list of names click here.
If you or someone you know are related to these brave men and women, please contact the office of Councilmember Reagan Dunn at Reagan.Dunn@kingcounty.gov.
