King County Superior Court Leadership Changes for 2017
As of January 1, 2017, several court leadership changes go into effect.
Presiding Judge – Judge Laura Inveen
Assistant Presiding - Judge Jim Rogers
Chief Unified Family Court – Judge Jean Rietschel
Chief Regional Justice Center – Judge Bill Bowman
Chief Civil – Judge Beth Andrus (continues in this role)
Chief Juvenile – Judge J. Wesley Saint Clair (continues in this role)
Chief Criminal – Judge Dean Lum (continues in this role)
Asst. Chief Criminal – Judge Sean O’Donnell
Other changes of note: Judge Jim Cayce will hear the Drug Court calendars in Seattle and Kent. Judge Johanna Bender will hear the Involuntary Treatment Act (ITA) calendar. Judges Patrick Oishi (SEA) and Andrea Darvas (KNT) will hear the Dependency calendars previously heard by commissioners. Judge Ken Schubert will be on the Seattle Ex Parte calendar. Judge Susan Craighead will hear a variety of calendars at SEA and KNT including ARY/CHINS, DOSA, and Family Treatment Court.
Many other judges are changing assignment, location and/or courtrooms. Those moves happen effective Jan. 9, 2017.
