Local data on rapid re-housing is now available on the All Home Website. The Tableau
dashboard gives system level data on households enrolled in rapid re-housing
programs including exits to permanent housing, length of time enrolled, returns
to homelessness and change in income.
Rapid re-housing is a critical component of our homelessness
crisis response system and we have substantial work to do to bring it to scale
in our community. The success of rapid re-housing in Seattle and King County
requires a commitment of both funding entities and service providers to best
practices, innovative and adaptable program designs and a renewed effort to
engage landlords.
Friday, January 27, 2017 is Count Us In, the King County
Point in Time (PIT) Count for all populations!
Previously, our community’s point in time count was known as
the One Night Count and our youth and young adult count was called Count Us In.
This year, we have adopted the name Count Us In to describe the entire range of
PIT count activities, including a count of people living unsheltered, those
living in shelter or transitional housing, a qualitative survey of people
experiencing homelessness across the County, and specialized approaches to
counting subpopulations, including youth/young adults and families.

Please note that this is not a training session or

We are incredibly excited to see the overwhelming interest
in the Housing First training on December 13th! A number of people are
on the waitlist so we will be releasing about 30 additional tickets this week based
on when people registered. Unfortunately, this means that a number of people
will not be able to attend the training. We apologize that we can’t accommodate
more people at this time. Given the local interest, All Home will work to host
another Housing First training in 2017. More details to come.
If you are on the waitlist, you may see an email from EventBrite
to notify you of an available ticket. If you do not receive that email, we
won’t be able to accommodate you during this training, but please do stay tuned
for future announcements. If you RSVP’d and your availability has changed so
you can no longer attend, please email triina.van@allhoekc.org
as soon as possible so that someone else from the waitlist can attend.
The Job Readiness Workshops for Homeless Youth Project is
specified as ‘a term-limited expansion of existing services for youth
experiencing homelessness focused on job readiness,’ and was selected as one of
seven projects to be funded through the City
of Seattle’s Youth Voice, Youth Choice participatory budgeting program. The
total amount of funding available for the project is $43,600.
The City of Seattle seeks to partner with an organization
that has a proven history and success in working with young people who are
unstably housed, offers existing job-readiness resources, and is looking to
expand the breadth of their current service provisions or innovate the way
their organization has traditionally approached job readiness training for homeless
youth. The goal of this project is to improve the quality of life and financial
independence for young people experiencing homelessness by increasing their
ability to acquire and retain permanent employment.
If you are interested in
submitting a proposal, please download the RFP.
The deadline to submit a
proposal is Friday, January 6 at 5:00 p.m. A Pre-Submittal Information
Session will be held on Monday, December 19 from 4:00 – 5:45 p.m.at
the University Branch of the Seattle Public Library.
If you have any questions about
this opportunity, please contact Jenny Frankl at jenny.frankl@seattle.gov or (206) 233-2044.
