Food Establishment Closures in King County: Mayuri Foods & Video and Mayuri Indian Cuisine
King County, Washington sent this bulletin at 11/04/2016 04:51 PM PDTPublic Health is investigating an outbreak of gastroenteritis with nausea, vomiting and diarrhea associated with two vendor locations: Mayuri Foods & Video at 2560 152nd Ave NE, Redmond, WA and Mayuri Indian Cuisine at 2115 Bel-Red Rd, Redmond, WA. Twelve people from a single party became ill after eating food from the vendors on 10/30/16. Public Health learned of the outbreak on 11/1/16.
Violations resulting in closure cited for Mayuri Foods & Video include:
- Potentially hazardous foods at unsafe temperatures
- Improper cooling of potentially hazardous food
- Inadequate facilities to control temperatures of potentially hazardous food, cold holding
- Foods not protected from cross contamination
- Poor personal hygiene, hand washing
- Equipment/utensils not properly sanitized
- Hand washing facilities unavailable
