Transit Alert - Ride transit to weekend football games

Riding regularly scheduled transit service on any game day, or special weekend park and ride shuttle service, is the easiest way to get to and from Husky and Seahawks games. Transit riders should be prepared for crowds and traffic, and allow plenty of time for their trips to and from games.

Transit service for Husky football on Saturday, September 10
Mortlake-and stadium area Metro bus routes 44, 45, 48, 65, 71, 73, 75, 271 and 372 will be rerouted on game days, due to traffic congestion associated with UW Husky football games.

For quick game-day service directly to and from Husky Stadium, ride Link from Bay A at any downtown Seattle Transit Tunnel station. The Link corridor is further served by parking capacity at Tukwila International Blvd Station just north of Sea Tac Airport, and by Metro and Sound Transit bus routes at every station that make connections from many other areas.  A new Link station will open at Angle Lake at S 200th St, south of the airport, on September 24, adding even more options and capacity for south county Dawg fans.

Metro operates some extra Husky shuttle service from the Ballard and Lake City neighborhoods, and provides special UW Football shuttle service from the following park and ride lots:

Following the game, buses depart from designated locations near Husky Stadium.

Husky P&R shuttle riders can show a pre-purchased UW Athletics Husky "Season Pass" or purchase a $5 fare per person/per game voucher at the P&R prior to boarding the shuttle. Purchase vouchers from non-Metro staff at the P&R lots. Visit the UW Athletics Office page for complete information about purchasing passes and vouchers.

Regular fares, game tickets, ORCA, UPASS and paper transfers are not valid or accepted on Husky P&R shuttles.

Transit service for the Seahawks game on Sunday, September 11
The Seahawks’ 2016 season home opener at CenturyLink Field is on Sunday, September 11, and, while Metro operates Seahawks weekend game day non-stop shuttle bus service from the Eastgate P&R, Northgate Transit Center and South Kirkland P&R, fans are also encouraged to ride regularly scheduled transit service from other locations and for weekday games as well.

Seahawks P&R Shuttles leave each of the three parking areas 2 hours prior to kick off time as they fill, with the last bus leaving about 30 minutes before kickoff.

A cash-only, exact fare of $4 one way or $8 round trip per person is required on Seahawks P&R  shuttles. No ORCA cards, passes or transfers are accepted.  A valid regular fare is required on all other regularly scheduled Metro service.

All pre-game shuttles arrive near CenturyLink Field on 5th Av S at S Weller St.

After the game, buses returning to Eastgate and South Kirkland leave from southbound on 5th Av S at S Weller St, and the Northgate Shuttle leaves northbound on 5th Av S from just north of S Weller St.

The last bus leaves 45 minutes after the end of the game.
