On-Site Sewage System (OSS) Program
The members of the regional Board of Health are looking at ways of implementing an On-Site Sewage (OSS) Management Program.
This program would be funded by a proposal requiring OSS property owners to pay an additional cost that is currently being discussed by the members of the Board of Health. Some proposals include a possible $40 annual fee for all OSS property owners regardless of the state of their septic system or increasing current property transfer fees.
If you are an OSS property owner and have questions or concerns about this proposition, please submit your comments online and attend the Board of Health meeting tomorrow, June 16, 2016 at 1:30 pm at the King County Courthouse, 10th Floor.
If you cannot attend tomorrow, but still wish to voice your concerns about this matter, King County Public Health will be hosting a series of meetings throughout unincorporated King County to address the public's concerns.
One of those meetings will be held on Tuesday, June 21st in Maple Valley (6:30 pm, Tahoma Jr. High Library, 25600 SE Summit Landsburg Rd). For more information about these upcoming meetings, click here.
