Join us at Lake Meridian Park tomorrow for DIVE TO REVIVE!
I am so excited for this NEW, one-of-a-kind event.
Staff from our Parks and Public Works teams are joining forces with local, certified divers for a community clean-up like no other and we want you to join us!
From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., divers will take to the water to clear debris while volunteers from the community will come together to remove invasive plant species and clean up litter from around the park and surrounding sidewalks.

Last week, I had the chance to tour Boeing with Mayor Cassie Franklin from Everett and Mayor Armando Pavone from Renton.
Boeing has been such an important part of our community for many years, and I’m grateful for the jobs, innovation, and investment they continue to bring to our city.

We wrapped up Drinks in the Driveway for the Summer with 2 visits this week! There were some great questions from The Point Condos and Parklane Apartment residents who care so much for their neighborhood!

Living Well Kent is hosting their last Farmers Market downtown! This is a community driven market, increasing access to fresh, healthy, and culturally relevant produce to our community.

Green Kent events are a great way to get more involved and give back to our community. And for students, they offer a great way to earn required community service hours AND learn about our local conservation efforts!
The Green Kent volunteer season continues Saturday, September 20 with our SEPTEMBER Work Party! Join us at beautiful Three Friends Fishing Hole Park as we continue clearing areas of Himalayan blackberry and plant some native shrubs.

Registration is open for the Fall Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training.
When widespread disasters strike, city workers can be overwhelmed. This course is designed to give people the skills and confidence to safely help themselves and others when help is delayed.
The eight-week program meets 2 different times on Wednesday. 1 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 6 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.
This training provides instruction on disaster preparedness, disaster first aid, triage, fire safety, search and rescue, disaster psychology and team organization.

Grow & Thrive is a hands-on program designed for business owners who’ve been operating for at least a year and are ready to take the next step. Over 12 weeks, participants will work with experts, connect with mentors, and build a plan for sustainable growth, all in a small, supportive cohort.
