Draft Behavioral Health Facilities Code Update Available for Review!

Thank you for participating in our survey! Staff provided a summary of what we heard and how we are using it to propose code updates at our last Land Use and Planning Board Meeting. A video recording of the meeting can be found here.

Community-Based Behavioral Health Facilities provide a wide variety of services to address mental health and substance use disorders. The proposed draft code changes are available on the project website in advance of our Land Use and Planning Board Hearing on September 23, 2024, at 7pm at City Hall Council Chambers.

More Details About the Public Hearing and Ways to Provide Official Comments

This hearing will be held in person at Kent City Hall (220 4^th Ave S, Kent, WA 98032) and virtually over Zoom. The meeting agenda will be posted by September 20 (Friday before the meeting) and can be found here.

Any person wishing to submit oral or written comments on this proposal may do so prior to the hearing by e-mailing Lindsay Walker at FutureKent@KentWA.gov.

All interested persons who wish to comment and/or attend the meeting are invited to do so.
