May 3, 2022 - Kerry Thomsen Day
Congratulations to Kerry Thomsen, a longtime Ivar's employee.
Kerry started at Ivar's in 1972 and has the distinction of working at more Ivar’s locations than anyone in the company’s history. He has become widely known for his customer service and it's estimated that he knows the names of more than 1,000 of his customers and knows what most of them order. In 2001 he was named the winner of Ivar’s Clammy, as the employee of the year.
He is a cherished and valued community member in Kent where he and his wife Sally live. They have a son, Christian and a grandson, Aiden. We are so proud of Kerry!
National Correctional Officer's Week
I was honored to present our Correctional staff with a proclamation for National Correctional Officer's week, to commemorate correctional officers and employees who deserve recognition for their service and for the tremendous job they do and exceptional performance of duties under the most difficult of circumstances.

License Your Pets!
Licensing your pets is so important, it helps make sure they get back to you if they ever get lost.
You can get them licensed through Regional Animal Services of King County, and they’re waiving late fees for re-licensing through June 30.
