Kenmore to Proclaim July as Disability Pride Month At the July 28 City Council meeting, the Kenmore City Council will officially proclaim July 2025 as Disability Pride Month in Kenmore. This proclamation recognizes the history, achievements, and contributions of people with disabilities, while affirming the city's commitment to equity, inclusion, and accessibility for all.
A special thank you to community member Elisabeth Sotak, who brought the idea forward during the July 14 Town Hall meeting and will be accepting the proclamation on behalf of Kindering, an organization that serves more than 100 Kenmore children each year through education and therapeutic services for children of all abilities. Join us in celebrating Disability Pride Month and continuing the work of building a more inclusive Kenmore.
