Kenmore Farmers Market Opening Day and Ribbon Cutting June 4
The Kenmore Farmers Market is kicking off next week on June 4, next to Town Square, and will run every Wednesday from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. through August. Come down for opening day and a special ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the start of the season. Explore new vendors, fresh produce, and exciting programs brought to you by the Northshore Farmers Markets.

Parking is available at City Hall, nearby streets, and the Kenmore Park and Ride. However, walking, biking, or using public transit is encouraged. Come enjoy the market all summer long, it's a great way to support local farms and small businesses while enjoying the best of the season!

Construction Begins on the 61st Avenue NE Sidewalk Replacement Project
Construction on the 61st Avenue NE Sidewalk Replacement Project (NE 190th Street to north City Limits) officially began this week. Construction will be ongoing through 2025 and into spring of 2026. During construction, please expect some additional traffic and travel delays. 

This project includes new re-aligned sidewalk to preserve as many existing street trees as possible, sidewalk repair on the east side of the roadway, and new bike lanes. Also included are safe pedestrian crosswalks on 61st Avenue NE at NE 193rd Street and 60th Avenue NE, and other intersection improvements. As part of the planning process, the City gathered extensive community feedback to inform the approach to tree preservation and replacement. Learn more at kenmorewa.gov/61st.

Kenmore has a new resource to make biking around town easier and safer—the City’s interactive bike facilities map. This user-friendly digital map highlights Kenmore’s growing network of bike lanes, trails, and bike-friendly streets. The map also includes interactive layers to view sidewalks, bike racks, bus stops, points of interest, and other helpful information to safely navigate around town. Volunteer to Protect Native Plants at ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis Park
Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group is hosting two upcoming community weeding events this summer at ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis (Tl’awh-ah-dees) Park. Volunteers are invited to support ongoing habitat restoration efforts by helping remove invasive weeds and protect young native plants as they establish. Community members of all ages are welcome and encouraged to participate!
