Bastyr University Master Plan Update
Bastyr University is currently updating its Master Plan, which provides a framework and vision for future uses and development on the property over a 10+ year period of time. The City of Kenmore's Comprehensive Plan requires Bastyr to have a Master Plan to guide property development. Bastyr’s current Master Plan was adopted in 2009 and will expire December 2025. City staff and the Planning Commission will be reviewing Bastyr’s application throughout 2025, with a decision of approval by the City Council expected in late 2025. Shoreline/Kenmore Community Court Celebrates Five Year Anniversary
The Shoreline/Kenmore Community Court is hosting a celebration to commemorate its five-year anniversary on Tuesday, May 6, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at Shoreline City Hall. There is also the opportunity to attend the event virtually via Zoom. Please RSVP to Katherine.tramontana@kingcounty.gov and karwilson@kingcounty.gov with whether you plan to attend in person or virtually.

The Shoreline/Kenmore Community Court is an alternative problem-solving court that differs from traditional court by identifying and addressing the underlying challenges of court participants that may contribute to further criminal activity. Its goal is to build stronger and safer neighborhoods and reduce recidivism through a rehabilitative approach.

Join the Kenmore Community Club for the next Potluck Presentation on May 14 from 6:30 p.m. - 9 p.m., where you’ll get an inside look at Kenmore’s parks and the dedicated team that maintains them. Learn how the City of Kenmore designs and preserves beloved spaces like Log Boom and ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis (Tl' awh-ah-dees) Parks while supporting natural habitats and community recreation. This family-friendly event is part of the Kenmore Community Club’s 100th Anniversary event series and a great way for kids to learn what goes into making a functioning, vibrant city. Bring the family and a dish to share and join your neighbors for this informative and fun event.

Arts of Kenmore: Congratulations to Kenmore’s 2025-2026 Youth Poet Laureate Jadie Hwang
Arts of Kenmore recently selected Jadie Hwang as Kenmore's 2025-2026 Youth Poet Laureate. Jadie is a sophomore at Inglemoor High School where she holds three Awards of Merit in the PTSA Reflections, publication in multiple literary magazines, and two Silver Keys in the Scholastic Art and Writing Competition.
