City Council Appoints Stephanie Lucash as Interim City Manager and Selects GMP Consulting for Permanent City Manager Search
On February 24, the City Council unanimously appointed Deputy City Manager Stephanie Lucash as Kenmore’s Interim City Manager. Lucash will officially begin her interim duties on March 24, following the departure of City Manager Rob Karlinsey, whose final day with the City of Kenmore will be March 23.  

In addition to appointing an interim city manager, the City Council selected GMP Consulting to conduct a competitive executive search for a permanent city manager. The recruitment process is expected to begin soon, and the City Council is committed to selecting a highly qualified candidate who will continue to lead Kenmore on an upward trajectory. Emergency Shelters, Transitional Housing, Emergency Housing and Permanent Supportive Housing (STEP Housing) Advisory Committee
Kenmore residents, business owners, and students over 16 are encouraged to submit a letter of interest to serve on the STEP Housing Advisory Committee. Interested applicants must send their letter of interest via e-mail to clerks@kenmorewa.gov by March 17. The City Council will select a minimum of six members who represent a range of interests and perspectives on the topic of STEP housing. The Committee will provide an advisory report to the City Council later this year on proposed amendments to the City’s zoning regulations regarding STEP Housing.

STEP stands for indoor emergency Shelter, Transitional housing, Emergency housing and Permanent supportive housing. Washington state communities like Kenmore are required to plan for these types of housing to help people who are experiencing or are at risk of experiencing homelessness. New Park at 25 Degrees Condominium Development is Open to the Public
Did you know the new park at the 25 Degrees condominium development is now open to the public? Thanks to a public access easement, the community is welcome to enjoy this charming playground park (called Landing 25 Park) that recently opened on the corner of 68^th Avenue NE and NE 182^nd Street. The park is owned and managed by the 25 Degrees HOA, with maintenance provided by Pacific Landscape Management.
