Save the Date: Imagine Housing "Community Convening" on The Approach at Kenmore Affordable Housing Development - February 6 Imagine Housing invites all community members to a "Community Convening" at City Hall on February 6 to learn more and ask questions about the proposed Imagine Housing development, The Approach at Kenmore (located at 7010 NE 181st Street). The Approach at Kenmore is a multifamily building that brings together equitable, high-quality housing with both rental and affordable homeownership options. The mid-rise building will feature more than 100 apartments, including studios and 1-3 bedroom units, and more than 15 homeownership units through Habitat for Humanity.

Kenmore Awarded Tourism Regeneration Grant The City of Kenmore was recently awarded a $46,800 Tourism Regeneration grant from State of Washington Tourism (SWT). The City plans to use the funds for creative wayfinding signage that will connect and highlight Kenmore's unique businesses and experiences. The project will include the installation of three artistically designed directional signposts that will guide visitors to key locations in the city, including parks and trails, "Brew Row," Bastyr University, Kenmore Air Harbor, The Lodge at St. Edward Park, and more. Additionally, the project will feature new artistic and playful banners along the West Sammamish River Bridge to create a cohesive visual identity. This project aims to support economic growth, increase tourism and visitation, and foster connections between Kenmore's businesses and recreational activities. Read the full press release. |

Arts of Kenmore Updates and Invitation to Annual Meeting Arts of Kenmore (AoK) is Kenmore's local arts agency and is here to provide access to art of all kinds and opportunities for artists to share their art.
- AoK's annual meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 14 at 6 p.m. at Kenmore City Hall. If you are interested in supporting the arts locally, you are invited to this meeting where the annual budget is approved, officer and board member elections are held, and the 2025 proposed calendar of events will be previewed.
- If you or someone you know is interested in serving on the board, contact the nominating committee at artsofkenmore1@gmail.com. The board member information/application form is available to submit online here.

Reminder: 24-Hour School Zone Speeding Violation Enforcement Begins January 13 24/7 photo enforcement of regular speed limit violations in the Kenmore Elementary School Zone on 73rd Avenue and the Arrowhead Elementary school zone on Juanita Drive school zones will begin on January 13. Beginning on Monday, drivers can receive a ticket anytime they are exceeding the regular speed limit of 30 mph, even when school zones are inactive. The existing 20 mph limit will still be enforced when school zone hours are active. Learn more at kenmorewa.gov/photoenforcement.
