Snow Update:

Still no bare pavement, please don’t drive if you can help it!

The snow arrived as expected! Six  snow plows have been running nonstop since yesterday evening.  There is compact snow everywhere, and we will continue to work all six plows on Priority 1 & 2 routes until there is relief in snowfall. We do not anticipate plowing residential streets until we have a large break in the snow.

Juanita Drive is still closed between NE 153rd St. and NE 155th St. If you see any other closures, please call the City at 425-398-8900.

For now, the plan is to continue running the snow plows through the weekend. We may be able to gain some ground on residential streets later tonight if there is a decent break in the snowfall.

Therefore, please try to stay off the roads as much as possible until the weather is warm enough to melt the ice layer on the roads.

For now, hunker down with a good book, take a walk around your neighborhood, or shovel your neighbor’s sidewalk.
