Attention providers: Wildfire response – Reminder of Telemedicine Options Available
In light of the displacement caused by the recent wildfires in Washington State, the Health Care Authority is reminding providers of the audio/visual and audio-only telemedicine options available to them when providing health care to Apple Health clients.
Providers can find the current Apple Heath telemedicine information, including separate listings for audio-only coverage, on HCA’s Provider billing guides and fee schedules webpage, under the Telehealth section.
To find telemedicine options for a particular service covered by Apple Health, refer to individual program billing guides. For example, occupational, physical, and speech therapy information may be found in HCA’s Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Program Billing Guide, Neurodevelopmental Centers Billing Guide, Outpatient Rehabilitation Billing Guide, and School-Based Health Care Services (SBHS) Program Biling Guide.
Note: HCA is not changing policy at this time. This is just a reminder.
