The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) directed the Health Care Authority (HCA) and the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) to complete revalidations of all Apple Health (Medicaid) providers by June 5, 2028.
HCA and DSHS will contact providers who must complete an off-cycle revalidation.
See the HCA and DSHS off-cycle provider revalidation project webpage for updates.
What is provider revalidation?
Revalidation is a required process every five years to confirm that Apple Health provider enrollment information and credentials are accurate and meet state and federal regulations. DSHS revalidation occurs when a Medicaid contract is renewed.
What is off-cycle revalidation?
Off-cycle revalidation happens outside the standard five-year revalidation schedule or outside of the DSHS contract renewal.
Review the frequently asked questions (FAQ) to learn about the process and what to expect.
