To reduce paper waste, HCA is changing how employer courtesy copies of the Dependent Turning Age 26 and Extended Dependent Recertification letters are provided.
Beginning in August, HCA will no longer mail courtesy copies of these letters to employers. Instead, HCA will post a monthly list in your organization’s Benefits 24/7 Data Depot identifying employees who were sent one of these letters. The Data Depot posting will also include blank electronic templates of the letters so Benefits Administrators can review the information employees receive.
This change does not affect the letters sent directly to employees. Subscribers will continue to receive their letters from HCA through the current process. Only the employer courtesy-copy process is changing.
This is a temporary solution while HCA continues enhancing Benefits 24/7 functionality. The long-term goal is to provide Benefits Administrators with the ability to access this information on demand.
HCA will notify Benefits Administrators when the monthly lists have been posted. If your organization does not receive a list for one or both letter types, no employees from your organization were sent that letter during the applicable period.
