MultiCare provider contract updates with Premera

As of July 28, 2026, Premera and MultiCare have a verbal agreement for a new provider network contract. While they are still finalizing the details of a new written contract, MultiCare remains in-network for SEBB Premera members, and PEBB and SEBB Uniform Medical Plan (UMP) members in the Spokane area. These members can continue receiving care from MultiCare clinics and hospitals while the parties finalize the remaining contract details.

Premera’s contract with MultiCare also impacts PEBB and SEBB members enrolled in UMP because the BlueCard provider network relies on Premera’s provider contracts for most counties in Eastern Washington. The primary impact on UMP would be for MultiCare’s Spokane-area providers.
