Here are updates on HCA’s priorities and progress to stabilize the Benefits 24/7 platform for PEBB and SEBB employees. Our intention is to keep you informed on identified issues, how we’re prioritizing them, and when they’re addressed.
This list below does not include all the identified issues, but several that we are prioritizing based on their impact on members’ enrollment. We’re balancing the work on these issues with additional system issues affecting other PEBB and SEBB members, including retirees.
Issues that have been addressed
-
Changing an existing subscriber’s Social Security Number (SSN). When attempting to change a subscriber’s SSN, benefit administrators were able to bypass a warning on the subscriber eligibility tab alerting them to ask HCA to change the SSN. They were able to update it themselves to an already existing SSN when the “Submit” button was clicked a second time. This has been fixed so that benefits administrators can no longer change subscriber SSNs. To update a subscriber’s SSN, please contact HCA.
-
Collecting less demographic information. The Benefits 24/7 system has been updated to reduce the amount of demographic information collected. Online enrollment forms have also been updated to reflect these changes.
-
Correcting accounts with missing default plans. Since the beginning of April, default plans were not being applied when a subscriber did not elect plans. This impacted approximately 500 accounts. These accounts were fixed so that the default plans were applied.
If you continue to have challenges on an issue that has been addressed, please submit a new ticket to HCA’s Outreach & Training team. You can access updates on the Benefits Administrator website via the pink alert box and under Notices and updates.
