Attention Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) providers:
As a reminder, the Health Care Authority (HCA) requires Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) to use an ASC taxonomy to receive facility payment for eligible services.
To receive the facility payment, ASC providers must use taxonomy 261QA1903X on the ASC claims.
ASC providers must be enrolled with HCA and eligible to provide Apple Health (Medicaid) services.
How do providers enroll with Apple Health (Medicaid)?
To become an enrolled billing provider with HCA or learn which taxonomy is associated with each provider’s National Provider Identifier (NPI), visit Provider Enrollment on HCA’s website.
To learn more about billing for ASCs and its services, see the Ambulatory Surgery Centers Billing Guide or the ProviderOne Billing and Resource Guide.
