The WA CIE will establish a shared technology system that supports care coordinators across health care sectors, social services, and other organizations. By standardizing data exchange across state, regional, and local systems, the WA CIE will connect social service, community, Tribal, government, physical and behavioral health organizations, and payers into a network that serves all Washingtonians. This centralized approach will reduce barriers to access and strengthen health outcomes by enabling more efficient delivery of critical health and social services statewide.
The IDATA Workgroup is an initial advisory body convened by the WA CIE Lead Organization (LO), Comagine Health. Its purpose is to provide expert data and technical guidance that informs the vendor procurement process. The workgroup will support the development of a secure, interoperable, and scalable WA CIE system that meets the needs of care coordinators and the people they serve.
The workgroup will begin March 2026 and conclude once the WA CIE technology vendor is selected and a formal CIE Governing Board is in place. The workgroup has the potential to evolve into a more permanent structure.
