Here are updates on HCA’s priorities and progress to stabilize the Benefits 24/7 platform for PEBB and SEBB employees. Our intention is to keep you informed on identified issues, how we’re prioritizing them, and when they’re addressed.
The list below does not include all identified issues, but several that we are prioritizing based on their impact on members’ enrollment.
New priorities
-
Incorrect tobacco attestations. For some PEBB and SEBB subscribers, the system shows tobacco attestation responses from previous eligibility periods, which may confuse employees whether the surcharge applies to them. HCA is working on a data fix to add missing tobacco attestations, potentially up to 1,800 members impacted.
-
Retroactive death and divorce life events. Currently, when a retroactive death or divorce event is submitted, the system may erroneously override or remove current enrollments. This creates incorrect coverage data and requires manual correction by HCA staff. The system should now allow retroactive processing while preserving all valid and future enrollments. HCA is addressing this issue in a multi-step process.
Issues that have been addressed
-
Spousal attestation reports included spouses that were not enrolled in medical. The Spousal Reattestation for an Organization and Spousal Reattestation - All Organizations & Self-Pay reports were incorrectly displaying spouses who were not enrolled in medical for a January 1 effective date. This issue did not result in surcharges being applied to accounts incorrectly. The fix corrected the reports to only display when the spouse is enrolled in medical.
-
Social Security Number (SSN) placeholders were erroring out. SSN placeholders are now processing correctly through the system.
If you continue to have challenges on an issue that has been addressed, please submit a new ticket to HCA’s Outreach and Training team through HCA Support.
You can access previous updates on the Benefits Administrator website via the pink alert box and under Notices and updates.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we diligently work on resolving these and other issues.
