Open enrollment message #1 for employees

This is the first of ten messages we will send related to the SEBB Program’s annual open enrollment (OE). The emails are numbered for easy tracking.

Please share the following message with employees around Tuesday, October 21. Do not forward this email directly to employees or make any significant content changes. Instead, copy and paste the message below and distribute to employees through your regular communication channels. You may update the message with your payroll or benefits office contact information if needed.

SEBB Program’s annual open enrollment begins October 27

The School Employees Benefits Board (SEBB) Program’s annual open enrollment runs from 12 a.m. October 27, 2025, through 11:59 p.m. on November 24. Please take note of these dates so you don’t miss your chance to make benefit changes.

Open enrollment is a time when you can make changes to your health plans and benefit enrollment. The changes you make during open enrollment will take effect on January 1, 2026. This means your current enrollment stays the same through December 31, 2025.

Changes you can make

During annual open enrollment, you can:

Change your medical plan
Change your dental plan
Change your vision plan
Add or remove dependents
Attest to the spouse or state-registered domestic partner coverage premium surcharge for 2026, if required
Enroll in the Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA), Limited Purpose FSA, or Dependent Care Assistance Program (DCAP) through Navia Benefit Solutions
Enroll in medical coverage, if waived
Waive your medical coverage if you are enrolled in another employer-based group medical plan, TRICARE, or Medicare
