Arizona joins ArrayRx, expanding multi-state collaboration to lower prescription drug costs

OLYMPIA - Arizona is joining ArrayRx, the nation’s multi-state, public sector, prescription drug consortium. Founded by Oregon and Washington, ArrayRX offers a free discount card that helps people save on prescription medications, no matter their age or income status. The more states that partner on this initiative, the better equipped we are to help control the cost of prescriptions for the people who need them.

On August 6, Governor Katie Hobbs signed an executive order for Arizona to join ArrayRx through an inter-governmental agreement. The move strengthens Arizona’s commitment to making medications more affordable and accessible.

“For too long and for too many families, rising costs, including prescription drug prices, have put the Arizona Promise out of reach. We are changing that,” said Governor Hobbs. “I’m proud to take action to keep money in Arizonans’ pockets, create pathways to health and wellbeing, and restore the Arizona Promise for families across the state.”

How the ArrayRx Card works

Free to sign up: No age or income restrictions.
For everyone: Ideal for uninsured or under insured people, ArrayRx can also be used when insurance won’t cover a medication or offers a higher price.
Covers FDA-approved prescriptions: Including mail-order and specialty drugs at pharmacies nationwide.

How to get started

Anyone in participating states can sign up for free online.
Download or print your digital card.
Show the card to your pharmacist at the checkout to receive your discount.

When states collaborate, people win

ArrayRx also provides pharmacy benefit management services for state and local government, labor organizations, and individuals.
