Beginning January 1, 2026, Uniform Medical Plan (UMP) Plus-Puget Sound High Value Network (PSHVN) and UMP Plus-UW Medicine Accountable Care Network (ACN) will no longer be available. During annual open enrollment, October 27 through November 24, 2025, UMP Plus subscribers will need to select a new medical plan, or they and any enrolled dependents will be automatically enrolled in UMP Classic.
For new employees and special open enrollments through the end of the year
Employees can continue to enroll in UMP Plus through the end of 2025. If an employee chooses to enroll in UMP Plus, please let them know they must choose a different plan for 2026. Benefits 24/7 will also show this alert to employees when they select a UMP Plus plan.
Planned communications about this change
Beginning around July 25, banners will display in Benefits 24/7 with additional guidance for employees about this change. In early August, we plan to mail and email (based on subscriber preference) postcards to all UMP Plus subscribers notifying them of the upcoming plan closure. In late September, we will mail a letter to all UMP Plus subscribers to let them know they will need to choose a new plan during open enrollment or they will be automatically enrolled in UMP Classic. This message will also be included in the October For Your Benefit and UMP newsletters. Information about 2026 plan options will be available online by October 3.

PEBB UMP Plus medical plans will close on December 31, 2025

During annual open enrollment, October 27 through November 24, 2025, UMP Plus subscribers must select a new medical plan, or they and any enrolled dependents will be automatically enrolled in UMP Classic with coverage starting January 1, 2026.
To make sure subscribers are well informed about this change, the PEBB Program has planned mailings to UMP Plus subscribers leading up to open enrollment. Affected subscribers will get an email or postcard about this change in August. Letters will also be mailed to all UMP Plus subscribers in September. Look for information about this change and your 2026 plan options in your October PEBB For Your Benefit newsletter. All annual open enrollment information will be posted on the PEBB webpages in early October.
