Here are updates on HCA’s priorities and progress to stabilize the Benefits 24/7 platform for PEBB and SEBB employees. Our intention is to keep you informed on identified issues, how we’re prioritizing them, and when they’re addressed.
We will continue to provide weekly stabilization updates through June 20, 2025. After then, we are transitioning to open enrollment preparation workstreams, and will send an update at least monthly or when an important system issue is identified or resolved. While we will continue to work on system updates, we will no longer provide weekly notices after June 20.
This list does not include all the identified issues, but several that we are prioritizing based on their impact on members’ enrollment. During this period, the team also worked on smaller, clean-up issues that we are not providing detail on this week. Keep in mind that we’re balancing the work on these issues with additional system issues affecting other PEBB and SEBB members, including retirees.
Below are the larger issues that have been identified or resolved.
New priorities
-
Some higher-education subscribers’ enrollments are being termed if they had a prior loss of eligibility reason code of “transfer.” There are 18 affected subscribers; HCA will fix the logic creating this issue and address the 18 subscriber accounts.
-
The system is not terminating vision coverage for some termed PEBB subscribers’ accounts. We do not know how many accounts this has affected yet.
Issues that have been addressed
-
PEBB Continuation Coverage account screens in Benefits 24/7 were not always displaying correct information. The Benefits 24/7 screens for PEBB Continuation Coverage accounts (COBRA and Unpaid Leave) were not always displaying the full, correct information around Medicare, vision coverage, and tobacco attestations. These were corrected in the system last week.
-
Some enrollments not removed when coded as “never eligible.” An issue with terminations coded as “never eligible” was causing enrollments to not be removed in certain cases. This affected 93 PEBB and SEBB subscribers. The fix ensured that current records are correct and that future terminations would remove enrollments appropriately.
-
SEBB new employee enrollments not displaying medical premium. There were several SEBB accounts that did not display the medical premium with the new employee enrollment. This did not affect billing. Benefits 24/7 has been corrected to ensure medical premiums are now displaying accurately, even when no updates are made during open enrollment.
If you continue to have challenges on an issue that has been addressed, please submit a new ticket to HCA’s Outreach and Training team through HCA Support.
You can access weekly updates on the Benefits Administrator website via the pink alert box and under Notices and updates.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we diligently work on resolving these and other issues.
