You can also submit comments in writing at any time. All feedback is shared with Cost Board members.

Have high health care costs impacted you? We are collecting stories to share how Washington State's efforts to rein in health care spending and the work of the Cost Board can benefit the people of Washington.
We will share these stories on the HCA website and social media accounts. We want to inform and inspire others to follow and support the work of the Cost Board, too!
The Cost Board is responsible for reducing the state's health care cost growth by:
- Determining the state's total health care expenditures
- Identifying cost trends and cost drivers in the health care system
- Setting a health care cost growth benchmark for providers and payers
- Reporting annually to the Legislature, including providing recommendations for lowering health care costs
