Wednesday, October 9
The Health Care Authority (HCA) will host a doulas community meeting via Teams on Wednesday, October 9 from 4 – 5 p.m.
This meeting will be an opportunity to provide feedback on the proposed Apple Health (Medicaid) birth doula benefit design elements, including:
- Structure of visits available to each client during pregnancy, labor and delivery, and after pregnancy
- Components of the proposed prenatal intake visit and the comprehensive postpartum visit
- Proposed reimbursement model
This meeting does not replace any part of the formal rulemaking process for the birth doula benefit. If you would like to sign up as an interested party for doula rulemaking, contact Jason Crabbe.
If you are unable to attend on October 9 or otherwise prefer to send written feedback to the HCA on the doula benefit design, you may do so until October 11 by emailing HCADoulas@hca.wa.gov.
