Doulas community meeting

Monday, August 12

The Health Care Authority (HCA) will host a doulas community meeting via Teams on Monday, August 12 from 9 - 10 a.m.

This is a continuation of the community meeting held on July 25. We will start with the WAC language where the previous meeting left off.

There will be opportunity to provide feedback on draft language for the doula WAC (rules). Comments and feedback will be collected and documented. HCA will not respond to these comments in real time, but will provide a written response at a later date.

This meeting is an extra opportunity to participate in HCA's rulemaking process. It does not replace:

HCA’s typical external review process, which includes distribution of the draft WAC to individuals who sign up as interested parties. Interested parties will still have that opportunity, likely in late summer.
- If you would like to sign up as an interested party for doula rulemaking, contact Jason Crabbe.
The public hearing/comment period required as part of the formal rulemaking process outlined in Chapter 34.05 RCW (Administrative Procedure Act). The August 12 meeting is in addition to that process and there will be additional opportunities to provide feedback on the draft WAC.
