Please join our very own Foundational Community Supports Supported Employment Program Manager, Darren Paschke, to enhance your job development skills.
Job development is an integral part of supported employment services. Job developers go by different names and do a variety of things. But their primary focus remains on helping people find meaningful jobs and helping employers find good employees. By learning about employers and job seekers — what each one needs, and what each can offer — job developers can better match the right applicants to the right employers.
Objectives
- Learn about employers and job seekers through the lens of first contact: what each one needs, and what each can offer
- Strategize how to balance the needs of the organization, the employer, and job seekers
- Discuss how individual placement and support principles can be mutually beneficial
