Thursday, July 25
The Health Care Authority (HCA) will host a doulas community meeting via Zoom on Thursday, July 25 from 6 - 7:30 p.m.
The meeting will include opportunity to provide feedback on:
- Draft language for the statewide recommendations for doulas and doula services in Washington. The plan is for this statewide recommendation to be supported, signed, and released by HCA and the Department of Health (DOH).
- Draft language for the doula WAC (rules).
This meeting is an extra opportunity to participate in HCA's rulemaking process. It does not replace:
- HCA’s typical external review process, which includes distribution of the draft WAC to individuals who sign up as interested parties. Interested parties will still have that opportunity, likely in late summer.
- If you would like to sign up as an interested party for doula rulemaking, contact Jason Crabbe.
- The public hearing/comment period required as part of the formal rulemaking process outlined in Chapter 34.05 RCW (Administrative Procedure Act). The July 25 meeting is in addition to that process and there will be additional opportunities to provide feedback on the draft WAC.
Documents
If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may submit comments via email by midnight on July 25.
