This bulletin is being sent by the Health Care Authority (HCA) on behalf of the Department of Health (DOH).
Washington Association for Community Health, Mountain West AIDS Education & Training Center, and Washington State Department of Health (DOH) Office of Infectious Disease are partnering to offer a monthly webinar series that will help federally qualified health centers leverage the whole care team to address patients’ sexual health.
Learning objectives
- Understand concepts of gender and appropriate terminology
- Review existing health care disparities
- Discuss engagement in care and ideas for creating a more welcoming clinic environment
- Discuss approach to patient intake and establishing goals of care

Dr. Abigail Kress is a medical provider and Family Medicine Residency Faculty at Community Health Care in Tacoma, WA. She obtained her DO at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Peace Health Family Medicine Residency in Vancouver, WA. Dr. Kress' professional interests include HIV medicine, gender affirming care, PrEP, medications assisted treatment for substance dependence, osteopathic manipulative medicine, and adult family medicine.
