Survey open through Monday, May 20, 2024
Olympic Heritage Behavioral Health, which opened in 2023 in Tukwila, will have up to 40 beds contracted for behavioral health services per funding awarded to the Washington Health Care Authority (HCA).
Behavioral healthcare providers, Tribal governments, stakeholders, and individuals with lived experience are encouraged to share input on what services are most needed in a survey open now through Monday, May 20, 2024. This survey will also help identify and inform potential providers.

HCA has partnered with BerryDunn, an independent consulting firm, to provide project management services for the Olympic Heritage Behavioral Health Facility Project. The primary purpose of this project is to address the needs of adults with a history or likelihood of criminal legal involvement to reduce the number of individuals with behavioral health or other diagnoses accessing treatment through the criminal legal system. This will be done by opening up to 40 additional treatment beds at the Olympic Heritage facility, further expanding their capacity to deliver community behavioral health services.
To thoroughly assess and determine the type and level of services that can be provided with the addition of up to 40 beds at the Olympic Heritage facility, HCA developed a web survey to gather information from providers, including tribal governments, interested in offering one or more, but not limited to, the following services:
- Short-term or step down residential behavioral health care for individuals who may have received treatment or other services through crisis stabilization or 23-hour crisis facility.
- Residential, transitional, or supportive services that would divert individuals from the criminal legal system or emergency departments.
- Substance use disorder or co-occurring treatment, including in- or out-patient programming.
- Supportive and residential services for individuals in outpatient competency restoration; subject to assisted outpatient treatment orders; or released on personal recognizance while awaiting competency services.
