Attention Home Health providers:
Reminder: effective for dates of service on and after January 1, 2024, all Home Health Care Services (HHCS) provider organizations must submit claims for HHCS with Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) data elements. HCA is currently providing technical assistance and will not deny HHCS claims submitted without the required EVV HHCS data elements at this time. This will help ensure home health providers can use HCA’s technical assistance to provide the necessary data elements and continue to serve the Medicaid population. HCA will provide a 90-day notification before the end of the technical assistance period.
Each organization that provides HHCS must implement EVV for HHCS which includes enrolling all HHCS individual servicing providers with HCA. When an organization has implemented EVV for HHCS and enrolled individuals, begin sending data on claims as soon as possible.
