Purpose
- On June 28, 2023, HCA filed a preproposal statement of inquiry (CR-101) under WSR 23-14-063 to develop new rules under ESSB 5187 Sec. 211 (83), 68th Legislature, Regular Session. This legislation directs the agency to implement a program with coverage comparable to the categorically needy Medicaid program for certain adults who do not qualify for Medicaid or other federally funded medical assistance programs or subsidies.
- WAC 182-501-0065 includes a revision that relates to a concurrent rulemaking project. On April 19, 2022, HCA filed a CR-101 under WSR 22-09-074 to develop new rules in Title 182 WAC regarding the Community Behavioral Health Support Services (CBHS) benefit. This rulemaking was postponed after necessary funding for the program was not provided. HCA is restarting this rulemaking in anticipation of funding. WAC 182-501-0065 includes an amendment to include the CBHS benefit.
