This announcement is sent on behalf of the Department of Health
Rulemaking workshops for developing coursework requirements for both certified and licensed agency-affiliated counselor credentials are upcoming this month and next.
These two workshops, hosted by the Department of Health's Office of Community Health Systems, are designed for developing rules around coursework requirements for the new certified agency-affiliated counselor and licensed agency-affiliated counselor credentials created by HB 1724.
• Wednesday, February 21, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m. • Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m.

The Department of Health (DOH) will provide an overview of the rulemaking process and timelines and ask for feedback about the development of the coursework. They will also be reviewing the previously developed draft language for student interns. They are looking for information and opinions from behavioral health providers, employers, behavioral health agencies, professional organizations, educational organizations, tribal partners, and any other interested parties who would like to participate.
