Attend the Cost Board's retreat this Friday

On Friday, February 9, 2024, the Health Care Cost Transparency Board (Cost Board) will meet in an all-day retreat. They will discuss:

Affordability presentations from the Office of Insurance Commissioner (OIC) and Attorney General’s Office
Presentations from Cost Boards in other states, including Oregon, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts
Priorities for 2024

What’s the Health Care Cost Transparency Board?

The board is responsible for reducing the state's health care cost growth by:

Determining the state's total health care expenditures.
Identifying cost trends and cost drivers in the health care system.
Setting a health care cost growth benchmark for providers and payers.
Reporting annually to the Legislature, including providing recommendations for lowering health care costs.
