Gambling Counselor Core Training Earn 30 CE hours comprised of a 10-hour self-directed component and 20-hour live webinar component.
Advanced Training in Behavioral Health Earn Up to 16 CEs on important topics from experts in their fields.

This virtual training is divided into two segments: the first 10 hours is an asynchronous self-directed/self-paced learning format, and the next 20 hours is in a live-learning, virtual format. Completion of both segments is required for a certificate of completion in the Gambling Counselor Core Training program.
Those wishing to pursue Washington State certified gambling counselor certification can familiarize themselves with certification requirements*, including education, licensing, and eligibility requirements. The gambling counselor core training is open to all, but the counselor certification is based on eligibility.
Participants may earn up to 16 CEs on important topics ranging from gender-affirming healthcare, cultural sensitivity, faith-based/spiritual meaning considerations, purpose in recovery, relational trauma repair, gaming/gambling and sensory perception disorders, gaming/gambling and ADHD, and military/veteran considerations.

Scholarships
Scholarships are available for the Winter 2024 Quarterly Training Workshops and are available for Treatment Providers, Prevention Specialists, Peer/Recovery Coaches, and undergraduate/graduate students or professors/counselors in accredited Washington State college and university behavioral health, addictions, and counseling programs.
These scholarships, which are available for all ECPG-sponsored workshops, cover the cost of training/conference registration, gambling counselor (WSCGC) certification application fee of $150 for those who are applying for the first time, and a complimentary one-year ECPG associate membership for first-time associates.
Continuing education
The Evergreen Council on Problem Gambling is an approved provider of continuing education credits by The Association for Addiction Professionals (NAADAC) and the International Gambling Counselor Certification Board (IGCCB).
Our workshops have also been approved for continuing education by the American Academy of Healthcare Providers in the Addictive Disorders (AAHCPAD), the Canadian Problem Gambling Certification Board (CPGCB), and the Mental Health Addictions Certification Board of Oregon (MHACBO).
