The first annual report on the Infant-Early Childhood Mental Health Workforce Collaborative (IECMH-WC) is now available!
Key findings include:
- From March 2022 – June 2023, 447 mental health professionals and 405 allied professionals who serve families of young children enrolled in Apple Health attended training on the DC:0-5 TM.
- Mental health professionals who participated in the DC:0-5 TM Clinical Training reported that, overall, the training helped them feel more prepared to use the DC:0-5 TM and that it was effective in addressing principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the assessment and diagnosis process. Their feedback also elevated the desire for additional provider- and agency-level resources that would support the application of DC:0-5 TM training knowledge and skills into practice.
- A DC:0-5™ Training of Trainers increased the pool of diverse DC:0-5™ trainers prepared to support continued DC:0-5 TM training in Washington state.
- Several DC:0-5™ trainings did not reach full capacity, and attendance was lower than desired at additional professional development offerings designed to support the application of DC:0-5 TM training knowledge and skills into practice.
