Welcome to the August 2023 issue of Prenatal - 5: Grow & Thrive - HCA’s new monthly newsletter about our behavioral health work in the early years of life.
Over the past few years, our team has maintained a growing email list of key partners, whom we updated regularly regarding our work. We started sending updates through this newsletter in May 2023, which is open to all. If you missed the earlier issues of our newsletter, you can find them under IECMH Updates on our webpage.
With that, we welcome you to keep reading to find out more of what’s happening in the P-5 behavioral health world, including the IECMH statewide tour, a MHAYC billing webinar, and a spotlight on the Families in Recovery program at Parent Trust.
Note: Prenatal – 5: Grow & Thrive is a spin-off newsletter of HCA’s Prenatal – 25: Thrive newsletter, which focuses on behavioral health for the entire age span of pregnancy to early adulthood. If you missed it, check out the most recent edition of the P-25 Thrive newsletter, released in July.

Have you heard about the Families in Recovery Program? Finding someone to talk to who really understands the challenges of recovery can be difficult. The Parent Trust for Washington Children Families in Recovery Program is designed just for that.
The Families in Recovery Program is offered in substance use disorder (SUD) inpatient and outpatient facilities, and some outpatient groups are open to the general public. Parent Trust for Washington Children also offers a Statewide Online Families in Recovery group that is open to all.
“The [Parent Trust Families in Recovery] program has been a blessing to me. I only wish that I could have gone sooner. I think that all parents, everywhere, would benefit.” – Parent participant
