Attend the May Finance Technical Advisory Committee (FTAC) meeting

On Thursday, May 11, the Universal Health Care Commission’s Finance Technical Advisory Committee (FTAC) will meet on Zoom. During this meeting, FTAC will:

Discuss options to include Medicare in Washington’s universal health care system.
Vote on recommendations to the Commission regarding Medicare.
Creating and Sustaining a Universal Health Care System: Introduction to System Cost Containment Strategies

What's FTAC?

Washington State seeks to establish a universal health care system for all residents, where people have access to affordable, high-quality health care. Senate Bill 5399 passed during the 2021 legislative session, creating a Universal Health Care Commission (UHCC) to aid in this effort. The goals of FTAC are to support the UHCC and to provide guidance and options for the UHCC’s development of a universal health care system, supported by unified financing in Washington State.

Yes. Your input is a crucial part of our process. Every FTAC meeting will have a designated time for public comment. To sign up to provide public comment, please contact us at HCAUniversalFTAC@hca.wa.gov by 5 p.m. on May 10. You can also submit comments in writing at any time. We share all public comments with FTAC and commission members.
