On Wednesday, April 19, the Health Care Cost Transparency Board will meet on Zoom. During this meeting, the committee will discuss:
- New member application for the Advisory Committee on Data Issues
- Claims-based measurements from the Advisory Committee on Primary Care
- Second-level analysis methodology for the Washington hospital costs, price, and profit analysis
- Historical review of the data collected and the methodology for the benchmark
- Updates to the 2023 benchmark data call

The board is responsible for reducing the state's health care cost growth by:
- Determining the state's total health care expenditures.
- Identifying cost trends and cost drivers in the health care system.
- Setting a health care cost growth benchmark for providers and payers.
- Reporting annually to the Legislature, including providing recommendations for lowering health care costs.
