What is After-Pregnancy Coverage?

The After-Pregnancy Coverage (APC) program launched in June 2022. It is comprehensive Apple Health (Medicaid) coverage for eligible individuals to access health care services any time in the 12 months after their pregnancy ends.

HCA is asking for your help to spread the word about this new program for all individuals who have had a pregnancy end for any reason in the past year. Having Apple Health coverage during the pregnancy is not a requirement for eligibility.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this program a person must:

Have been pregnant within the last 12 months.
Reside in Washington.
Have countable income equal to or below 193 percent of the Federal Poverty Level.
Not be eligible for a different Apple Health program.

Immigration status does not affect eligibility.
