Medicare Savings Programs (MSP) eligibility requirements have changed!

Did you know the eligibility rules for Medicare Savings Programs (MSP) are about to change? Effective January 1, 2023, resource verification is no longer required when applying for MSP. These programs help low-income individuals with the out-of-pocket costs for Medicare, including Medicare Part A and Part B premiums, deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance.

This change will simplify the application and renewal process for low-income individuals receiving Medicare. Visit HCA MSP webpage or the MSP brochure for more information.

How do I apply for MSP?

Individuals can apply for MSP through the following:

Online: Go to washingtonconnection.org.
Phone: Request an application by calling 1-800-562-3022 extension 16129.
In-person: Visit your local DSHS Community Services Office.
