Supportive Housing Lead Fidelity Reviewer Certification training

This three-day training will utilize a mix of didactic presentation, large-group activities, and small-group activities for each concept to engage participants, encourage sharing of diverse ideas, and allow participants to start building a network of peers. They will leave the training with a much fuller understanding of how to ensure model fidelity and how to teach colleagues to accurately implement the evidence-based practice (EBP).

This training will be a beneficial addition to the body of training provided to housing specialists staff who are serving some of Washington’s most vulnerable populations. Although the practices of PSH is used fairly widespread, maintaining fidelity to EBPs is essential for overall long-term success.

The Lead fidelity reviewer training will prepare participants to

  • Conduct fidelity reviews for the specific SAMSHA evidenced-based practice of PSH (for their own agency and for other agencies) through:
    • Incorporating the tenets of PSH into their review
    • Plan & lead the PSH fidelity reviews
    • Understand the roles & responsibilities of the agencies, staff, participants, and PSH dimensions
    • Coordinate fidelity review reporting and feedback
    • Prepare, score, and follow-up along with Supporting the program & providing feedback by developing a clear, comprehensive, and actionable report of strengths and deficiencies to aid the State of Washington in remediation or reinforcement as needed.

This training is designed for individuals who have had AT LEAST one year of experience working with the SAMHSA evidence-based practice of (PSH) and have interest in partnering alongside HCA to continue to build the continuous learning collaborative by leading Supportive Housing fidelity reviews across the state. This training has limited availability and The Health Care Authority will be selecting candidates based on applications.
